A Note to the Parents!

Hello!
You all must be knowing that kids are inquisitive i.e. they learn & grasp very quick, but the vital point is that they learn by what they see or observe, right?
So literally kids learn by examples.
You must be having many expectations from your children about adapting good habits & skills. But telling them to do the right thing won't help. This reminds me of the story about Shree Mahatma Gandhi, in this story there are three characters; a mother, her son & the great Gandhi.
In this story, the mother gets worried about her son's habit of eating sweet food(jaggery). Mahatma Gandhi used to be known for his wisdom, so the mother alongwith her son visited Gandhi & explained the problem. But after hearing the problem Gandhi asked the mother to visit again later after 10 days. The mother felt dejected & left.
After 10 days she came back to visit Gandhi; this time Gandhi was smiling as if he had found the solution. With a hope in her eyes the mother told Gandhi,"Since last ten days he is been eating a lot of Jaggery, please don't send me back without solving the problem".
Gandhi smiled & told the concerned mother,"There is a reason I sent you back last time. I too had a habit of eating jaggery, so I didn't find it right to counsel your child about not doing something which I also do".
Gandhi continued,"Since last 10 days I was working on controlling myself. And since last 7 days I haven't touched it". And then Gandhi counselled the child about the problem & at the end the mother was happy.
But here the learning is; Gandhi's way of solving the problem by first doing it & then telling others to do the same.
So if you want your kid to read a book, then you need to first start reading, you must be fit enough to counsel him/her on fitness, you must be or become a hard worker before asking them to become, you must be caring enough to make sure that they don't become careless, you must not burst in anger and only then you can ask them to behave polite and practice patience, you should be the one doing the right thing before telling them to do.
By making your life an example we can guide others, to do what needs to be done. You can make this world a peaceful and lively place not only for your kids but to all the people around you.
Thank You.
